How to read a debt relief review
Be skeptical of any review that promises a specific saving or a specific timeline — results in this industry vary enormously with creditor, balance and state. The reviews worth weight are the ones that describe the process: whether the downsides were explained, whether messages were returned, whether the projected timeline resembled the real one.
Be equally skeptical of a perfect five-star average across hundreds of reviews. Settlement is a hard process and some people find it harder than they expected. A profile with no four-star reviews on it has usually been curated.
What we ask clients to comment on
- Were the downsides explained before you enrolled?
- Did the projected timeline match reality?
- Was the same specialist available throughout?
- Were fees what you were told they would be?
- Would you have chosen the same route again?
